Patrick Mullin - Biography
Patrick is a Canadian folk singer who has over 20 years of touring and entertainment experience. He was raised in Maidstone, a small village near Windsor, Ontario. He now resides near Kemble, Ontario, on the Bruce Pennisula, near Georgian Bay. Over the years he lived and performed in many parts of Canada and the eastern seaboard of the U.S. He has always performed as a solo act and uses his strong melodic voice to engage his listeners, tell a story, and generally have fun with his audience.
“Lament for the North” is a collection of original folk music that reflects his experiences and feelings from his years as a performer. These songs represent a love of family and the natural world together with statements about humankind’s present challenges in our evolving world. Patrick has a Master’s degree in Political Science.
Patrick’s performances include stories from his travels, his own material from “Lament from the North”, folk music from the 60’s and 70’s, for example, Lightfoot, Chapin, Simon and Garfunkel, Denver, Croce, Buffet – as well as popular tunes from that era that audiences remember and love to sing. From one of his lengthy gigs, management commented: “His on-stage people skills are very strong – a sign of a solid entertainer – not just a singer of songs!”
